Why are you reading this?

This picture is going to make someone really mad, and I'm probably going to have PETA on my trail. Those are all little baby ducks at a market in Ukraine. Cute huh? Yeah, until I tell you that people buy them to take home and fatten and eat. They're really cheap too. I just happen to come across this looking through my photos from this summer and I wanted to brighten everyone's day.
Here's a thought: as a whole, we are a very unread people. So, being that there are literally thousands of seminal works you or I or whoever has yet to read, and I'm not talking about just good books, I'm talking canonical stuff - that being the case, why do we spend hours scrolling through xanga or facebook (well I don't do facebook) or blogspot or whatever. What a waste a time. Yes, I think I just systematically and effectively defeated myself.
On a different note, no Kyle I did not play with GI Joe's in eighth grade. (Ever notice that the word "eighth) has two h's within a three-letter space. Pretty unbelievable.) Anyone who reads this, again a waste of your time, will find that I will often correct things from the previous post because I don't really think before I write. That's what editing is for except that I don't edit this thing. Enough for today. Buy the new David Gray album. It will change your life. He spent two years on it.
